SNAP CRACKLE POP!
Kids healthier version of a birthday staple, the famous Chocolate Crackle. They have passed and been approved by my critics, and even requested for following occasions so they must be okay. Using organic brown rice puffs that you can get from most health food stores, coconut oil and rice malt syrup as a sweetner and cacao, you have ingredients that are less processed and retain some nutrition. You still don't want to have too much of these, but for kids celebrations we still want to keep it fun without loading them with sugar and colourings and flavours and preservatives........
Quick and simple to make, try at your next birthday bash!
note: as coconut oil is the base and glue that holds them together they will fall apart with heat. Best to keep in fridge or freezer till last moment, or if taking to school for class celebration warn not to leave in the sun, on the heater etc and perhaps best for recess not at end of day.
